The Medical Bridge helps with the rising costs associated with a hospital stay or outpatient surgery. This insurance coverage is designed to supplement existing medical coverage so your employees are better prepared to pay the expenses associated with a hospital stay or outpatient surgery. These expenses include deductibles or co-payments, transportation to or from the hospital, or childcare for your family.

The Medical Bridge Plan pays a lump sum benefit (per covered occurrence) directly to the policyholder. It pays the full benefit for confinement to the hospital and 50% of the benefit for outpatient surgical procedures performed using anesthesia.

This plan is flexible, allowing employees to choose coverage that best meets their needs. Four different options are available: employee, employee and spouse, one-parent family, and two-parent family coverage.

This coverage is portable and guaranteed renewable for life as long as premiums are paid when due.

This employee-paid benefit is very popular now since their out-of-pocket amounts associated with their health plans are increasing. This benefit pays regardless of other insurance they may have.
